How to become a Cycling Experiences… blog writer, or if you will–a contributor.

Either way, if we agree in you joining the team and you accept these guidelines, then I welcome you as a contributor. I will then list you as a member of the blog writing team. I’ll want to publish a short biography, with photograph. defines a contributor as follows:

A Contributor can create and edit only their own posts, but cannot publish them. When one of their posts is ready to be published or has been revised, the Administrator needs to be notified personally by the Contributor to review it. Furthermore, once a Contributor’s post is approved and published by an Administrator, it can no longer be edited by the Contributor.

Contributors do not have the ability to upload files or images, but they can see your site’s stats.

Those I invite will receive an email that looks something like this:

To accept this invitation you will need to:

1. Signup for a account–username only. You can also sign in with your existing account if you already have one.

2. Accept Invitation

After you have your Account and have accepted the offer, you are ready to submit blog articles/post.

Planning and Scheduling: Search this blog to see if articles have been published that are similar to the one you want to have published.  You may want to reference it and give your perspective.

Writing: To do so, you will likely use the editor [How To Video].  Send photographs as email attachments or give me a link to an online location for the pictures you want included in the article. Of course, good grammar and proper punctuation is essential. The WordPress Editor has an online grammar and spell checker.  If you have questions regarding style, this list of blog style guides may help.

Review: Submit for review when you finish writing. See these instructions. I then have the option to either publish the post with or without modification or to set the status back to draft if I do not think the post is ready for publication.

Publishing: For now, I expect to complete review of your article within 24 hours of submission. Following review, your article will be published immediately or scheduled to be published later. I will let you know when. As original material, first published here, you agree you will NOT publish it elsewhere for a period of 3 months from the date it is published here–exclusivity.

Sharing: As the author of your article, please share with your friends and associates. I will promote your work and ask that you do so also. Social media will help us a lot here. Expect comments on your posts. Your readers will expect you to reply to them…
